Construction began this week along Lake Street with the contractor setting up the traffic control signs and installing various erosion control measures.
Weather permitting, the contractor anticipates beginning the storm sewer improvements along Lake Street, north of Washington Street. You will also see contractors bringing in equipment, saw cutting the pavement in various locations, and removing an existing guardrail. In order to complete this work, there will typically be daily lane closures along Lake Street, so please be aware of flaggers.
On behalf of the Village of Grayslake, we would like to welcome you to the project website for the Lake Street Resurfacing project. This 1.5-mile construction project is intended to enhance the pavement’s riding surface and improve pedestrian access as well. Weather permitting, the construction is scheduled to begin next week. Please pay attention to the orange construction signs, and be alert for construction workers and equipment.
